Syed Zaid is a dedicated and diligent Lead Electronic Design Engineer with over 10 years of relevant experience. He is a responsible employee who can formulate appropriate strategies while helping to meet organizational goals. Currently, Syed is working as a Sr Hardware Design Engineer at Velankani Group where he leads the hardware design for products, works closely with an interdisciplinary team, and defines EE architecture and executes EE product development through the entire life cycle. He is also responsible for component selection, schematic capture, layout oversight, bringup, and debug. In addition, he defines test criteria, drafts test plans for internal or remote teams, and drives technology investigation projects to prepare new features and technologies for use in future products. Prior to his current role, Syed worked as a Hardware Design Engineer at Bydesign where he conducted research on new product specifications, developed schematics with R&D, converted schematics to PCB layout, tested and finalized design, created Gerber files, and transferred them to the PCB manufacturer. He also collaborated with other team members to agree on system designs, interfaces, and protocols. Before that, he worked as a Development Engineer at L&T's subsidiary Spectrum Infotech Pvt Ltd where he developed electronic hardware for defense and avionics applications and determined the MTBF value as per MIL217F Standard. Syed holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Nitte Institute of Technology, Bangalore, a Master of Technology in Digital Signal Processing from Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College, and has completed a Language Processing course from Indian Institute of Science. His tech stack includes test, Research Scientist, and infra.
