Building simulation systems with Simulink for analyzing different aspects of a digital communication system.
Study of different image enhancement algorithms, coding and simulating a specific edge detection using class of Quadratic Volterra filters.
Exploring different algorithms pertaining to image restoration - in particular the main focus of the project was on reduction of additive random noise using adaptive Wiener filters and reduction of image blurring using inverse filtering technique.
BSS (Blind source separation) principles and application to hyper spectral imagery. In particular, I was able to analyze a specific IEEE paper on application of Independent Component Analysis (ICA) to hyper spectral imagery and partially un-mix hyper spectral data corrupted by Gaussian noise.


Performed research on various IEEE papers and solved the equations from S.O. Los's paper to come up with a programmer friendly model so as to be able to plug in the data collected by NOAA AVHRR sensors.
Successfully implemented algorithms using MATLAB for correction of NDVI (normalized difference vegetation index) without recourse to CH1 and CH2 data; based on existing remote sensing journals. I was able to successfully apply the above results on calibration of AVHRR (Advance Very High Resolution Radiometer) sensor for real NOAA data set from 1990-1999.
