Tanmay Deshpande is a seasoned technology veteran with over 13 years of experience in architecting, scaling, and delivering large-scale, complex projects. He is currently working as an Operations Data Program Architect at SLB, where he delivers data-driven solutions at scale for the global energy industry. In his current role, he works with customers and engineering to make the SLB <> Cognite partnership successful, provides architectural guidance and governance for the Operations Data Foundation, and handles solution architecture and software architecture. Tanmay has worked on projects that range from a few lines of code to a few million, and he has architected and delivered large-scale, complex projects in the areas of cyber security, distributed systems, cloud computing, DevOps, and Big Data. He is a programmer by heart but has been enhancing his skill set to include solid tech leadership to run. In the past, Tanmay has worked as the Chief Architect - Digital Enterprise Systems and Chief Enterprise Architect - Pune India Technology Center at SLB. In these roles, he provided architectural and governance guidance for various applications in the DES portfolio, improved visibility of enterprise capabilities by helping create a discoverable API ecosystem and increase automated, reliable integrations amongst the business systems, improved product operations by evangelizing Site Reliability Engineering practices across the DES, and helped boost good software development practices across various applications. Tanmay holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Information Technology from Savitribai Phule Pune University and has completed a course on Functional Programming Principles in Scala from EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne). His tech stack includes Senior Software Engineer, Big Data, DevOps, SRE, and Software Engineer.
