Tanner Villarete is a skilled Software Engineer with a passion for UI development. With a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Tanner has accumulated 3.35 years of relevant experience in the industry. He is currently working as a Software Engineer II – Mobile at Brex, a company that offers financial solutions for businesses. In this role, Tanner is part of a world-class engineering team that is responsible for building out Brex's iOS and Android apps. His tech stack includes React Native, TypeScript, Apollo GraphQL, and Swift. Prior to Brex, Tanner worked at Convoy Inc and iFixit as a Software Engineer II – Frontend and Software Engineer – Frontend, respectively. At both companies, he introduced modern technologies and standards to allow for more robust frontend development and built out generalized React UI components for utilization across their platforms. He also developed a Product Review system (UI, API, & DB) for iFixit's international eCommerce platform.
