Tapas Roy is an IT Strategist with over 31 years of experience in Strategic Technology Planning, Information Systems Management, IT Infrastructure Deployment, and Operations Management. He is an expert in designing and delivering cost-effective and high-performance IT infrastructures and applications to address critical business needs in the Banking, NBFC, Logistics, and Manufacturing Industry. Currently, he is the Head of Computer Science and Engineering at Future Institute of Engineering and Management. Tapas has a proven track record of success in IT strategy, roadmap, and policies, IT organization design, development, and management, transition management, program and project management, vendor, and contract management, implementation of enterprise information systems (e.g., ERP, Intranet), information security, and application development and support. He has worked with various companies such as Merino Group and Transafe Services Ltd, where he was responsible for IT infrastructure and service management, information security, IT procurement standardization, vendor and contract management, and IT budgeting across the organization. Tapas has a strong educational background, having completed his M.Tech. in Computer Science and M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Calcutta. He also holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics (Hons) from Gurudas College and a Higher Secondary degree in Science Stream from Taki House. He completed his Class III education from Jitendra Narayan Roy School. Tapas is highly skilled in infra and has relevant experience of 38.14 years. He has achieved significant reductions in IT operation costs with higher uptimes and service levels. He has led teams to ensure timely delivery of project milestones, including ERP LN implementation and SAP implementation across all business lines. He has also spearheaded the capacity planning and built of state-of-the-art data centers and countrywide multi-ISP WAN infrastructure from scratch to provision continuous central system access for all critical plants and business locations.
