Tarang Ranpara is an M.Tech (ICT) Machine Learning student at DA-IICT with a passion for science and technology that dates back to his childhood. He fell in love with computers after creating his first program in JAVA and BASH script, which gave him the power to convert his thoughts into something useful. He pursued his interest in computer science and engineering at Gujarat Technological University (GTU), where he studied new languages, mathematics, electronics, and core computer science subjects with the same fascination and curiosity that drove him as a kid. During his undergraduate studies, Tarang participated in three national hackathons, one AI-based hackathon, and built many cool small-medium scale projects that excited him. He also did his pre-final semester internship at an early stage startup named "AIM Technologies" as a data science intern and interned at Space Applications Centre (ISRO) as a Research Intern in his final semester. Tarang's core skills include core computer science, mathematics, problem-solving, back-end engineering, and machine learning. He is proficient in programming languages such as Python3, C/C++, and NodeJS. He has experience with data query using SQL and web frameworks such as Flask, Django, and Express. Tarang also has basic knowledge of front-end development using React and machine learning frameworks such as Numpy Stack, Keras, TensorFlow, and PyTorch. Currently, Tarang is working as a Researcher at the Information Retrieval and Language Processing Lab at DA-IICT. He has also worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Opshub and a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology, where he conducted labs and tutorials on topics such as ER modeling, ER to Relational Model conversion, Database Design (DDL), Database Normalisation, and SQL Queries. Tarang holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer Engineering from Atmiya Institute of Technology & Science and is pursuing a Master of Technology (MTech) in ICT with a specialization in Machine Learning from Dhiru Bhai Ambani Institute. He is open to roles related to software engineering, Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist, or anything and everything related to computer science that excites him. With relevant experience of 0.43 years, Tarang is a skilled and enthusiastic computer science professional with a passion for learning and exploring new technologies.
