Tarik Firoz is a Senior Consultant in Strategy and M&A at Deloitte Consulting with extensive experience in growth strategy, target screening, due diligence, value capture, divestitures, and post-merger integrations. He holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore, and a B Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kerala. He is also a Certified Scrum Master (CSM). Tarik has approximately four years of experience in large-scale project management and heavy engineering with Cochin Shipyard Ltd and a short stint with Infosys in SAP prior to his MBA. He is recognized for being a creative problem solver and strategic thinker with strong analytical skills. At Deloitte, Tarik has worked on several M&A projects, including growth strategy, value capture diligence, commercial due diligence, transformation program management, integration advisory, synergy assessment, and operational due diligence. He has worked on deals across consumer, tech, industrials, and PE sectors. Tarik has estimated standalone costs, projected SG&A costs, advised on lean org structures, and estimated synergies and savings for mergers. He has also led op. model transformations and assessed competition and product viability. Tarik has tracked milestones, predicted potential risks, and strategized risk mitigation for SAP transformations and managed cross-border complex transactions. Tarik has also worked at Cochin Shipyard Ltd as a Deputy Manager, where he reduced equipment set up time, standardized installation of ship machinery, and boosted the efficiency of workflow. He ideated and built a progress tracking model, saved INR 5.68Cr, reduced 3 months docking, and improved profit INR 1.82Cr. Tarik has managed 500 employees per day, led the installation of 600+ equipment on a ship, and coordinated the trial of a Norway vessel. He has been appreciated by the Vice Chief of the Indian Navy and deputed to Italy for managing testing of heavy equipment. Tarik has completed his schooling in Mathematics and Computer Science from Sree Narayana Public School and a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Mechanical Engineering from Sree Chitra Thirunal College of Engineering, Pappanamcode, Thiruvanthapuram. He has also completed an MBA from Zeppelin University, Friedrichshafen, and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
