Tarun Choubisa is a co-founder of Seed2Sapling Education, a lifelong learner, and a passionate educator. He has a strong desire to create a learning environment for students that enables them to fulfill their potential. Tarun's journey started in a small town close to Udaipur, where he completed his primary education. After completing his higher studies, he landed in IIT Guwahati for his M.Tech by chance. Tarun's instinct to teach found its base while he was in school and continued in college as he enjoyed teaching his friends when they needed help. He formally joined as an assistant professor in KIIT, Bhubaneshwar, where he experimented with his pedagogies. Tarun developed a deep desire to reach the peak of formal education and moved to IISc, Bangalore, for a PhD. While doing his PhD, Tarun realized that scores or grades were not as relevant as the journey of learning. It was a turning point for him, and the self-reflection drew him closer to the idea of teaching school students. Thus, he co-founded Seed2Sapling Education with some passionate friends who shared a common vision of creating a learning environment for students. Their mission is to create an enriched, joyful, and experiential learning environment where a child enjoys and actively participates to become a knowledge generator and not merely a knowledge consumer. The focus is not only on intellectual development but also on emotional stability and a strong moral foundation. Tarun has worked as a mentor in Atal Tinkering Lab and Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog. He has mentored students in the field of Electronics and Robotics, starting with a very simple step-by-step process to learn programming on Arduino to build engineering marvels. He has pursued his PhD in Wireless Sensor Network from IISc, Bangalore, and completed his M.Tech in Digital Signal Processing from IIT Guwahati. Tarun completed his B.E in Electrical Communication Engineering from University Engineering College, Kota. Tarun believes that the beauty of science lies in questioning, finding the answers through observation and research, which he had missed during his school days. He thinks that students should be allowed to research to find answers and not look for readymade solutions.
