Tarun is a software engineer with over 7 years of experience in cloud technologies and application development for mobile, tablet, and wearable devices. He is proficient in Java and has an increasing fondness for Golang. Tarun is passionate about back-end development, distributed systems, and cloud technologies. Tarun has been responsible for every aspect of software product development, from requirement analysis, estimation, design, and coding through testing and deployment. He is a forward thinker who is open-minded, proactive, and always looking forward to adapting to new technologies. Currently, Tarun works as a Software Engineer 2 at PayPal, where he is responsible for developing the company's next-generation infrastructure platform. This includes the development of a CLI and gRPC/REST microservices to provide Infrastructure as a Service leveraging GCP and PayPal's internal container platform. Previously, Tarun worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Google, where he worked on "Android Toolkit Improvements for Large Screen Devices" running on ChromeOS and Android. He also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Samsung Research India, where he worked in the S-Health sports module team, completing various assignments such as S-Health 4.7, Timeline sharing application, Strength Training, and My Gear My Style. Tarun holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communications Engineering from NIT Jamshedpur.
