Tarun Runwal is a Senior Technology Business Analyst based in Singapore with over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. His focus area for the past few years has been on digital transformation for wealth management organizations, helping businesses modernize their operations. Tarun is experienced in end-to-end trade life cycle and asset servicing processes. Having spent some years in QA roles, he is very focused on quality and possesses a keen eye for details. Curiosity is his most prominent personality trait, and he endeavors to learn something new every day. Currently, Tarun is the Lead Business Analyst at BNP Paribas Wealth Management. He is leading the BA for Securities Operations workstream for Project Tiger, a large, global, multi-year technology transformation initiative to migrate BNPP Olympic core banking system from mainframe AS400 platform to distributed private cloud architecture in RHEL and Oracle database. He is driving requirements workshops with Asia and Europe business users to gather current-state workflows, identify process/system gaps and pain points, and ultimately create a converged target-state design compliant with all sites across all regions in a multi-entity framework. In his past roles, Tarun has worked as a Senior Consultant at Antaes Asia and as a Senior Business Analyst at GIC. He has been an application owner, SME, and Lead BA for the Corporate Actions processing system, including third-party IHS Markit IM applications, messaging interfaces, and in-house trade creation & posting system. He has supported end-to-end Corporate Actions processing, interfaced with business teams on requirements gathering, analysis, design, and documentation, and led a team of L2/L3 developers to plan, prioritize and execute project deliverables for change management, BAU support, infra upgrades, and IT risk and security reviews. Tarun completed his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from SGSITS in 2006. His tech stack includes QA, infra, Java, and Swift. With 16.20 years of relevant experience, Tarun is an Agile Practitioner and certified Scrum Master who is always looking for ways to improve business processes and drive digital transformation. Outside of work, he is a proud father of two girls and enjoys cooking for them.
