Tarun Sharma is a Telecom Graduate student at Northeastern University with a passion for networking and security. With eight months of co-op experience and a strong understanding of networking concepts, he is proficient in designing, installation, and maintenance to support enterprise network systems. He has undergone Ericson's ILT certification program and possesses in-depth knowledge of mobile communication techniques like GSM, CDMA, GPRS, 1G, 2G, 3G, and 4G networks using LTE. Tarun has three years of professional experience as an SAP BASIS consultant at Accenture, where he was proficient in system/kernel upgrades, enhancement package, SAP note implementation, and incident and problem record management. He has excellent communication and interpersonal skills with exceptional relationship management and team building abilities. He is a smart leader yet a great team player. Tarun is a Software Engineer III at Cisco, where he is responsible for gathering requirements from product owners, strategizing and managing the launch of cost-reduced line cards for rapid marketability, translating complex business requirements into Leaf-Spine Network solutions, and executing clear, concise software test plans. He is proficient in different phases of testing, including API testing, functional testing, sanity testing, UAT testing, and regression testing. He also conducts workshops for scope analysis & gap analysis with clients to find out the challenges in the early stage of the project. Tarun is a skilled programmer with expertise in languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, and Bash. He is also well-versed in operating systems like Linux and Windows, and tools like Wireshark, Cisco Packet Tracer, GNS3, Putty, Netbeans and Eclipse IDE, CPS, and Autosys. He has advanced knowledge of telecommunication networks and is proficient in routing and switching protocols like HTTP/HTTPS, IMAP, POP3, FTP/TFTP, BGP, DNS, SIP, SMTP, SNMP, SSH/TLS Telnet, and SSL. Tarun has worked with companies like Nokia and Mentor Graphics and has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Telecommunication System Management from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida. He is looking for a full-time position as a Network Engineer/Software QA Engineer/Network Security Analyst to learn and grow by augmenting his knowledge base and testing his acumen in a progressive environment.
