Tarun Sharma is a polyglot automation enthusiast with over 10 years of experience in software development and testing. He is a startup enthusiast and an automation testing evangelist with a passion for work and a zeal to come to work on Mondays. Tarun has successfully delivered a couple of $100m annual revenue products with high quality and aims to do the same or deliver even higher. He is a problem solver and math lover who believes that technology is not a constraint for him to learn and excel. Tarun is strong in object-oriented design and algorithm and has good exposure to database, white-box, REST/SOAP API automation, performance, and functional testing. Currently, Tarun is working as a Staff Software Development Engineer in Test at Indeed, leading an 8-member automation team in Tokyo/Singapore. He has built UI/API test automation framework using Java Spring, Junit5, TestNG, and Extent Reporting, and has also worked on test-driven development using Cypress for UI. Tarun has experience in load testing of web apps and APIs using Jmeter, accessibility testing and automation, and AWS DyanomDB/DAX/DataDog Infrastructure as a Code automation using Terraform. In the past, Tarun has worked as a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test at LinkedIn, automating REST APIs using RestAssured and TestNG, and performing performance testing of APIs using JMeter and Kafka producer-consumer perf testing using Python scripts. He has also worked on developing REST web services using Spring Boot, ensuring no glitch goes to production, and mentoring interns and freshers.
