Tejashwi Raj is a pre-final year undergraduate at IIT Kharagpur with a passion for data analysis and machine learning. Currently working as a Data Analyst at The Sparks Foundation, Tejashwi has gained 1.77 years of relevant experience in the field. At The Sparks Foundation, Tejashwi has developed a machine learning model that predicts stock prices using news headlines sentiments and historical prices. He has worked with the BSESN Dataset for price analysis and Times of India Headlines Dataset for textual analysis. Tejashwi has formulated time series for moving averages of different features with multiple time windows for better accuracy. He has also created multiple boolean time series for shock in the prices with 2, 5, and 10 percent thresholds on price change. To analyze the sentiment of news headlines, Tejashwi has used the TextBlob library to calculate the Polarity and Subjectivity. Tejashwi's technical expertise includes ML, Sentiment Analysis, and Random Forest. He has trained his model with Random Forest Regressor, which resulted in an r2 score of 0.99, RMSE of 486.76, and MAE of 265.54. Tejashwi's education background includes pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering at IIT Kharagpur, which he is expected to complete in 2023.
