Thameem Fowzan is an experienced Roboticist with a passion for exploring different dimensions of robotics such as Autonomous systems, Types of SLAM, Parallel computing, and Human-robot interaction. With over 7 years of relevant experience, Thameem has worked on different projects related to robotics and has gained expertise in various areas. Currently, Thameem is working as a Technical Lead - Robotics Software Development and Autonomous Vehicle research at Proven Solution. In this role, he is managing a team of Roboticists for client-based applications in Humanoids (AMR) and Manipulators. He is also developing customized apps using Android SDK of Pepper for client-based applications and exploring the Robot Management system (RMS) which includes Indoor Navigation and Fleet Management system for AMR. Thameem has knowledge in JIRA, Confluence, and other relevant tools. In the past, Thameem has worked as a Technical Lead, Robotics Software Development (Humanoid Robot) & High-Performance Computing at the Center of Digital Excellence. Here, he developed a sophisticated semi-Humanoid Robot as a Prototype for Commercial Application and managed a team of 2 Technicians who worked on Computer vision & Android Development. He also developed ROS-Android App for the Humanoid Robot for navigation using ROSJava SDK and interfaced ROS-CUDA for High-Performance Computing using CUDA in ROS nodes through Nvidia Tegra boards. Thameem has a Bachelor's degree in Robotics & Automation Engineering from PSG College of Technology and has completed C++ Nanodegree Program and Sensor Fusion Nanodegree from Udacity. He has also gained expertise in different tech stacks such as Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, Research Scientist, Android, AWS, Computer Vision, and Web. Thameem is an Intel® Software Innovator and SLAM Researcher who is building Robotics Community with 1000+ Researchers. He is a highly motivated individual with a passion for Robotics and is always eager to learn new things.
