With over 12 years of relevant experience in Big Data and Data Mining industries, she has received multiple awards and acclamation within the Computer Science community. Thi has worked with various companies in the past, including WorldQuant and FPT Software. At WorldQuant, she worked as a Software Engineer and was responsible for architecting and implementing a system to improve the performance and solve the memory leak issue of the old one in distributed processing. She also has experience in Spark streaming from Kafka. At FPT Software, she worked as a Research Software Engineer and was responsible for designing and implementing a solution to measure the popularity of celebrities and movies to enrich the knowledge graph in the movie domain. She also added new functionalities and optimized the in-memory search engine algorithm to achieve a 3-time performance increase. Additionally, she implemented another version of the search engine with in-memory database (CouchBase). Thi has a strong educational background, having earned a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Francophone Institute for Computer Science and the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1. She also has an Engineering degree in Computer Science from Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
