Currently, he holds the position of Member of Technical Staff at PayPal, where he utilizes his expertise to optimize the company's technical infrastructure. Thirugnanam began his career at PayPal as an Intern Software Engineer, where he worked on a project that involved migrating one of the product development teams from an old engineering infrastructure to a new one. This project was instrumental in speeding up the development process and improving quality by adopting Continuous Integration practice provided by the new engineering Infrastructure. Prior to joining PayPal, Thirugnanam worked as a Research Scholar at the Cryptology Research Group of Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. During his tenure, he worked under the guidance of Dr. Bimal K. Roy in the field of Key Pre-distribution in Wireless Sensor Networks. He documented his findings in a white paper titled “Key Pre-Distribution in Wireless Sensor Network using Pairwise Balanced Designs and Association schemes". Thirugnanam holds a Master's degree in Theoretical Computer Science from PSG College of Technology, where he completed his education in 2012.
