Tianwen Chu is a highly skilled data scientist and programmer with a passion for data structures and algorithms. He has a solid understanding of various machine learning algorithms, including logistic regression, support vector machine, and neural networks, among others. Tianwen has project experience writing prediction models, including partial least square regression for the stock market, and applying K-means for image classification in computer vision projects. As a programmer, Tianwen is fluent in C++, Python, Java, and Scala. He has experience working with different software and operating systems, including Linux, ROS (Robot Operating System), and MATLAB. Tianwen is also a robotics major student and has worked with quad-rotors in both simulation and hands-on tests, gaining practical experience in debugging real flying problems. Currently, Tianwen is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Twitter, where he develops and implements machine learning models for various applications. Prior to this, he worked as a Machine Learning Engineer II at Twitter, where he was responsible for timeline ranking. He also worked as a Data Analytics Engineer at Fractal Industries Inc, where he developed and optimized Spark applications for data aggregation and analysis, designed and developed extractor and analyzer libraries for cyber log traffic data, and wrote application-wise Scala code in Spark-service. Tianwen has a master's degree in Robotics Technology from Carnegie Mellon University and a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Southeast University. He has relevant experience of 7.54 years and is skilled in ML, SVM, Computer Vision, Scala, Data Scientist, Research Scientist, Neural Networks, Word2Vec, Python, Java, and Spark.
