Tianyu Song is a highly skilled PhD student at the Technical University of Munich, specializing in computer science and informatics. With a diverse educational background, he received a Bachelor of Science in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics from Sun Yat-sen University in China, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in the United States. He continued his studies at Johns Hopkins University, where he earned his Master of Science in Robotics in 2019. After graduation, Tianyu worked for a year as a Software Engineer in the Applied Research team at Verb Surgical/Johnson & Johnson, where he developed computer vision and AR/VR software. He is currently working towards his PhD at CAMP, Technical University of Munich, where his research interests include medical augmented reality and computer-aided surgery. Throughout his career, Tianyu has gained extensive experience in software engineering, research, and computer vision. He is proficient in a wide range of technologies and tools, including software engineering, computer vision, and research science. He has also worked as a Course Assistant in Augmented Reality at Johns Hopkins University. With 2.85 years of relevant experience, Tianyu is a highly motivated and dedicated individual with a passion for solving complex problems.
