Tirumala Botu is an Associate Product Manager at Playment with a passion for solving complex problems and building products that are used by millions of people on a day-to-day basis. With a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Masters in Economics from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, he has gained 3.11 years of experience in the tech industry. Tirumala has a strong background in software engineering, web development, and product management. He has previously worked as a Software Engineer at HSBC, where he containerized and migrated various microservices to Kubernetes on-premise. He also developed an application to streamline the publishing of end-of-day markers from source systems to consumers and led a team of five in designing a banking app for Gen Z as part of Gradhack 2020. At IDfy, Tirumala worked as a Web Developer, where he designed and developed Video KYC, a portal currently being used by four banks to verify their customers' identity. He was expected to bring down the average time for a KYC process to less than five minutes. He was also selected for an offsite with founders and senior management to lay down a five-year roadmap for the startup. Currently, Tirumala is working at Playment, enabling some of the top companies across geographies to build autonomous vehicles by providing high-quality data annotations. He is well-versed in Kubernetes, microservices, and other relevant technologies. Tirumala believes that technology is a great enabler and wishes to leverage that to make an impact. He enjoys discussing science, tech, business, and cricket. He is a proactive problem-solver who is always looking for ways to improve processes and products.
