Tom James is a seasoned CEO and CIO with extensive experience in the FinTech industry. He is currently the CEO and CIO of Tradeflow Capital Management, a company that he co-founded in 2016. Tom has been digitizing the commodity industry since 1998 when he designed and launched the first-ever online digital ID secured trading platform for the commodity swaps market. Tom is a solution architect and co-founder of TradeFlow Capital, an innovative AI-powered FinTech Fund Management company. TradeFlow's Digital Transaction and Risk Transformation Architecture enables global physical commodity trade for SMEs via an innovative non-credit, non-lending model which also provides superior risk-adjusted returns and capital protection for investors. The approach is also complementary to traditional lending institutions such as Banks and other lenders. Tom has extensive experience in portfolio and investment strategy architecture, having served as the CIO of CEMP - USD Trade Flow Fund SP and CEMP - Euro Trade Flow Fund SP. He was the key business architect in the model, strategy, and IT System Architecture that now makes the scalability of the solution and investment opportunity possible. Tom has a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Best Practices for the Global Commodity Markets within the Functional Disciplines of Trading & RM from Middlesex University, an Executive MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology, and a Master's Degree in Energy Price Risk Management from Middlesex University. He also has several certifications, including Advanced Commodity Finance from ICC Academy and Certified Trade Finance Professional Series - CTFP from ICC Academy. Tom has a strong technical background, with expertise in AI and senior software engineering. He is a music producer and has also taught as an Adjunct Professor - Trading & Risk Management at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology and as an Executive Research Faculty - International Trading Institute at Singapore Management University.
