Tom Richard is a passionate Software Engineer with a strong interest in emerging technologies, especially in the substrate space, to create an impact in the web 3.0 revolution. With a special passion for mathematics from an early age, Tom has a wide and deep knowledge of cryptography theory and is well versed in arithmetic and computer mathematics. Tom has been working in the cryptocurrency space since 2016, developing smart contracts on the Ethereum Network. Over the past 4 years, he has been working as a freelancer, designing and developing zero-knowledge circuits compatible with various blockchain ecosystems. He has developed a plethora of blockchain projects, including NFT marketplaces, DeFi/Dex, and DAOs. Tom has a powerful cryptography technical background for the blockchain and is proficient in programming using Rust, Solidity, Golang, and other programming languages. He also has a background in mathematics and cryptography and is highly interested in distributed systems and interoperable blockchain technology. Currently, Tom is the Co-Founder and CTO of paybymint, a company that provides a secure and easy-to-use payment gateway for businesses. In the past, he has worked as a Software Engineer at Ideal Labs, where he developed blockchain projects using substrate, and as a Blockchain Engineer at Signal Kinetics, where he worked on a blockchain-powered game called Star Sailors, developed using the Unity game engine. Tom holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Nanjing University of Science and Technology, where he graduated in 2016. He is proficient in various tech stacks, including Blockchain, Senior Software Engineer, Software Engineer, NFT, Smart Contract, Ethereum, Solidity, DAO, DeFi, Golang, Web, and infra. With 4.78 years of relevant experience, Tom is a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer with a passion for emerging technologies and a strong background in cryptography.
