Tracie Hlavka is a deeply people-focused technology leader with over 20 years of relevant experience in the industry. She is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Flyhomes, where she is responsible for leading the technology function and driving innovation across the organization. Tracie has a proven track record of building and scaling teams, creating the conditions that bring out the best in each person and the team. She believes in creating a sense of purpose for the team and individual, which helps people to be more connected to their work, the business, and each other. Prior to her current role, Tracie served as the EVP of Engineering at Flyhomes, where she led the technology team and played a key role in the company's growth. Before that, she was the VP of Engineering at Porch, where she led the technology function and reported to the CEO. She was responsible for software engineering, data engineering, data science, DevOps, and IT, totaling 100+ people across several locations. Tracie scaled the team from around 60 to 100+ over 2 years and directly managed up to 16 managers and ICs. She also led technical diligence on a number of acquisitions, providing feedback on the team and technology they were acquiring. Tracie holds an MS in Computer Science from Florida State University and a BA in Political Science from the University of Washington. Her technical skillset includes Senior Software Engineer, Data Engineering, Data Scientist, and DevOps.
