Trevor Shim is a Co-Founder of Porter, a platform as a service (PaaS) that runs in your own cloud, providing Heroku-like convenience in your own AWS/GCP account, powered by Kubernetes. He is an experienced Research Scientist with a relevant experience of 5.11 years in the field of AWS, Kubernetes, and GCP. Trevor is a graduate of Yale University with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Intensive Physics and Computer Science. He also holds a degree from Y Combinator as part of the S20 batch. His education also includes attending Taipei American School. Before co-founding Porter, Trevor worked as a Researcher at MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and as a D2 Founder at Naver Corp. Trevor is passionate about making Kubernetes easier and more accessible to everyone. He has played a key role in the development of Porter, which has been selected for the Y Combinator Summer 2020 Batch.
