Trevor Whittingham is a confident and experienced Senior iOS Developer with a passion for creating exceptional user experiences. With over 6 years of experience in developing iOS apps and launching them on the App Store, Trevor has established himself as an expert in the field. He has represented Ancestry.com at WWDC 2018 and has released 6 apps to the App Store with more on the way. In addition to his iOS development expertise, Trevor has also established a freelance website design business using Webflow and has made it to the front page of their popular designers list. He enjoys building apps that family and friends dream up, reading the entire Sherlock Holmes collection, and playing disc golf. Currently working as a Senior iOS Engineer at Ancestry, Trevor is leading the charge in iOS test-driven development. He has participated in multiple internal hackathons and mobile department training sessions and has received extensive training in SOLID design, software architecture principles, and agile practices. Trevor's app development experience includes new feature implementation, UI updates and streamlining, and maintenance and bug fixes. He has also participated in hackathons where he built an augmented reality and machine learning app that overlays videos on ancestors' photos, planned and prototyped new search UI, and built an App Clip with NFC integration to streamline the DNA kit signup process. Prior to his work at Ancestry, Trevor owned and led Retro, a mobile and web development company. He has designed and built many websites from scratch using Webflow and has developed popular iOS apps such as Restaurant Roulette and Total Calculator +. Trevor holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Brigham Young University and a high school diploma from Timpview High School.
