Trey Hoover is an Engineering Manager at Formidable, with over 9 years of relevant experience in the field of full-stack web development. He is a creative thinker and problem solver, passionate about the marriage of design and development. Trey is currently only available for 100% remote work. In his current role as Engineering Manager at Formidable, Trey is responsible for leading a team of developers through the entire software development process, from requirements gathering to design, development, testing, and deployment. He is skilled in technical architecture, development, and delivery of user-facing features for web applications. Prior to joining Formidable, Trey worked as a Lead Front End Engineer at CuriosityStream, where he was responsible for the technical architecture, development, and delivery of user-facing features for CuriosityStream's SVOD web application. He also led a team of developers through the entire software development process and migrated over 20,000 LOC to TypeScript as part of an initiative to reduce bugs and improve the developer experience via static analysis. Trey has a Specialized Master's in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International Studies: World Economy and Business, German, both from The Ohio State University. He also studied abroad at Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn, where he focused on Germanistik. Trey's tech stack includes Senior Software Engineer, Web, Frontend, test, Typescript, and Software Engineer. He is a skilled full-stack web developer with a passion for problem-solving and a keen eye for design.
