Trivikram Bollempalli is a highly skilled Software Engineer who is passionate about algorithms, resource scheduling, distributed systems, and storage systems. With over 7 years of relevant experience, Trivikram has worked on an array of projects, ranging from performance optimization to integration and backend development. Currently, Trivikram works as a Software Engineer at Google, where he is involved in creating cutting-edge software solutions. Prior to joining Google, Trivikram worked as a Member of Technical Staff at NetApp, where he was part of the Advanced Technology Group in the CTO office. During his tenure at NetApp, Trivikram modified Spark to increase its performance for small IO intensive jobs and integrated Redis Cache with a proxy server, analyzing performance. As a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Santa Cruz, Trivikram worked on resource scheduling in Ceph, an open-source storage system. He also collaborated with Red Hat employees to integrate mClock, a resource scheduler, in Ceph. Trivikram implemented a prototype, where client applications can specify their reservations and priorities, which will be carried to the backend resource scheduler (mClock) in Ceph. He analyzed the working of mClock scheduler and its behavior under various workloads, fixed bugs in the integration of mClock with Ceph, and implemented the code to integrate the distributed version of mClock, which makes the scheduling guarantees work across multiple OSDs. Trivikram holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from IIT Jodhpur. He is proficient in a range of technologies, including Spark, Redis, and backend development. Trivikram is a research scientist and a senior software engineer, with a passion for writing code and converting new and interesting ideas into reality.
