Tushar Bhalla is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in exploring and developing new clients, accelerating growth, and achieving desired sales goals. He is currently serving as the Lead, Key Country Initiatives (Government) at WhatsApp, where he is responsible for landing game-changing solutions for India on the platform. He has also been leading a team to execute the Government business strategy for WhatsApp India, focusing on top account management for central ministries, states, utility companies, and urban local bodies. With over 14 years of relevant experience, Tushar is a keen planner and strategist with a proven track record of consistently increasing the sales/profitability of the company. He possesses broad knowledge of technology and is proficient at analyzing market trends to provide critical inputs and formulate selling and marketing strategies. His specialties include sales, pre-sales, account management, market intelligence, strategic planning and implementation, and competition analysis. Before joining WhatsApp, Tushar worked for Google in various roles, including Sales for Google Cloud Platform and G Suite, and Field Sales for Google Suite (formerly Google Apps). He has also completed his Matriculation from St. Michael's Sr. Sec School, New Delhi. Tushar is a senior stakeholder manager, with experience in engaging with senior bureaucrats and heads of states. He is closely aligned with the India/Global public policy and has been instrumental in enhancing sales development and all revenue-generating processes at WhatsApp. He is also responsible for onboarding and growing the partner base for the Government business, including close engagement with NGOs for outreach and enabling fact-checkers.
