Tushar Jadhav is a Co-Founder at Manastu Space, a private aerospace company established by the alumni of IIT Bombay. With a mission to provide low-cost and fast access to space, Tushar and his team are working on building technologies to support Indian space and defense programs. The company's headquarters is based in Mumbai, and they believe that the use of space to solve problems on Earth is vital. With India's population of 1.25 billion, Tushar sees 1.25 billion opportunities to solve problems. Tushar has been instrumental in replacing old, low-performing, carcinogenic, and highly toxic propulsion systems with high-performance, non-carcinogenic, and less toxic alternatives. Due to the higher performance of the new propulsion systems, there is a reduction in the size of satellites, saving manufacturing as well as launch costs. The reduced toxicity and non-carcinogenic nature of the propellant also drastically reduce the cost of operation. Before co-founding Manastu Space, Tushar worked as a Scientist B at Gas Turbine Research Establishment, DRDO, where he built technologies in aerospace areas to support Indian military forces and strengthen Indian defense. He redesigned turbines for the Small Jet engine, performed performance analysis of the Kaveri engine run data, and designed the data acquisition system for the Turbine testing rig. Tushar's experience also includes working as a Project Manager and System Engineer at Pratham, IIT Bombay Student Satellite. Pratham is IITB's largest student technical initiative to build a satellite in collaboration with ISRO and a budget of 15M INR. Tushar was assigned as the new Project Manager when the project was in a critical state. He rebuilt and led a handpicked 2-tier team of 20 students to continue launch integrations for Pratham. He also took over the responsibility of maintaining collaborations with organizations like Boeing, MHRD, ISRO, and ensured transparency in fund management (5M INR), project management through work updates, presentations. Tushar holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He also completed his Higher Secondary School from R.Y.K. College, Nashik, and High School from Maratha High School, Nashik.
