Tushar Patidar is a Senior Software Engineer at Symantec with over 11 years of relevant experience. He is an expert in developing software for cloud and large-scale deployments using algorithmic and distributed processing methods. Tushar has a strong development experience in Java, C++, Scala, and related frameworks. He has built software components and data processing pipelines through extensive application of fundamental data structures and algorithms using functional and object-oriented programming techniques. Tushar is experienced in distributed messaging and computing frameworks such as Apache Kafka, Spark, and MapReduce for crunching data in data center and cloud environments. Prior to joining Symantec, Tushar worked as a Software Engineer at Symantec, where he gained experience in software product design and engineering. He was responsible for developing components of a distributed overlay network system for storage of EHR (Electronic Healthcare Record) data. His development activities included the implementation of storage and retrieval for EHR API, replication, distribution, and node attrition handling in the distributed storage nodes, and test data generation tools to generate healthcare domain and demographics dataset for testing and service bench-marking. Tushar holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Computing from C-DAC and a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology from Goa University.
