Uday Thatte is a seasoned IT professional with over 34 years of relevant experience in the industry. He has a strong background in the development and support of web applications for businesses, architecture and administration of database infrastructure, and technical and process leadership roles. Currently, Uday is the proprietor of Softcraft Inc, an ERP solution for petrol pumps in India. The software comes with a web interface that enables large customers such as transporters to track fuel deliveries and accounts. The software is operational in some of the highest selling pumps across Gujarat. Prior to Softcraft Inc, Uday worked at Fujitsu as an offshore IT service delivery manager and client partner. He set up and managed an offshore IT service desk providing 24x7 IT support for Alltel/Verizon Wireless - Technology Support Group. He grew the team from 15 to 50 in one year and improved service quality to meet or exceed expectations through rigorous selection, coaching, and leadership. Uday also worked at Alltel Communications / Alltel Wireless as a lead database administrator on multiple platforms, including Oracle, MS SQL server, Sybase, and DB2. He was responsible for setting technical and process standards, developing internal tools, and managing projects. He provided 24x7 production support to a high-demand business housing cutting-edge highly available technology and using globally accepted project and service management processes. Uday has a diverse educational background, with certifications in ITIL v3 Foundation, PMP, and Oracle Certified Professional. He also completed the Dale Carnegie Course in Leadership, Communication, and Collaboration. He holds a diploma in software engineering from the National Center of Software Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.
