Udbhav Agrawal is a Technical Project Lead at Huawei UAE, with a core expertise in Big Data, Cloud, and Spark Kernel development. He has designed and maintained the UAE national cloud, providing air-gapped solutions for government institutions. Udbhav is a Cloud enabler and data advocate, solving big data challenges for International cloud teams in Bahrain, Kazakhstan, and Israel. He is a certified HCIP Huawei certified ICT Expert cloud service solution architect, experienced in designing, building, and operating fault-tolerant multi-az enterprise IT systems. Udbhav has represented Huawei as a big data cloud expert at GITEX, a global level technology exhibition with exhibitors from 140 countries, and successfully onboarded partners and customers. He actively participates in brainstorming sessions with R&D to identify and address shortcomings in existing products and develop plans to introduce new features. In his current role as Project Leader at Huawei, Udbhav has improved cloud service reliability by implementing DR solutions, identifying monitoring gaps, enhancing fault prediction capabilities, and improving service architecture. He has analyzed and resolved OOM and performance issues by analyzing memory dumps, service metrics, and logs. Udbhav has provided technical advocacy for different international projects and created POC for Secured Bigdata scenarios for Bahrain cloud. He is responsible for POCs, demo, gap analysis, and training for Presight joint venture of G42 and Rafael Advanced Defense System Ltd. With over 5 years of relevant experience, Udbhav has also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Huawei, where he added Hive built-in functions' support in Spark, helping customers to migrate smoothly from Spark to Hive. He has analyzed and resolved compatibility issues in Spark and Hive to make Spark compatible with multiple Hive versions. He has successfully resolved performance, OOM, and shuffle failures in a Spark PageRank application, capable of handling PBs of data. Udbhav holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Computer Science and Engineering from SRM University, completing his degree in 2017.
