Udit Desai is a recent graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, with a Dual Degree (B.Tech + M.Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering. He is a skilled software engineer with experience in data structures, algorithms, competitive programming, and software engineering. He also has some experience in deep learning and natural language processing. Udit is interested in full-time opportunities in software engineering, quantitative trading, systems, and networking. Currently, he is working as a Software Engineer Intern at devrev, where he added indexing support for efficient storage of custom objects created through the DevRev app. He also worked on optimizing update operations for custom objects created through the DevRev app, using a tech stack of Golang, MongoDB, and AWS. Prior to his current role, Udit worked as a Teaching Assistant for the Operating Systems course at IIT Kharagpur and as an Undergraduate Researcher, where he worked with Dr. Mainack Mondal from IIT Kharagpur and Dr. Aniket Kate from Purdue University on characterizing user preferences in cryptocurrency wallets. Udit's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from IIT Kharagpur, which he completed in 2022. He is proficient in various technologies, including AWS, deep learning, NLP, MongoDB, Golang, backend development, and Redis. With 1.44 years of relevant experience, Udit is looking to leverage his skills and experience to take on new challenges in software engineering, quantitative trading, systems, and networking.
