Udit Khandelwal is a seasoned process-oriented designer with over 12 years of experience in building teams, shaping product strategies, designing experiences, developing products, and impacting businesses positively. He is currently serving as the Director of UX Design at athenahealth, where he leads a world-class experience for cloud-based services and mobile tools for medical groups and health systems, specifically for athenahealth platform. Udit's core strength lies in his ability to bridge between design and engineering and his knowledge of persuasive design. He deploys design methodology that relies on qualitative and quantitative research to hack business growth. In his career, he has worked for several MNCs and start-ups and has learned from his occasional failures, mentors, and trainings. Apart from his professional work, Udit is also passionate about writing about cognition, emotion, and design. He is a coffee enthusiast and loves brewing coffee, visiting cafes, and touring coffee plantations. Prior to joining athenahealth, Udit held the position of UX Director at Zivame, where he was responsible for defining the shopping experience across multiple offline and online properties of the company. He also led a major redesign exercise with a heavy focus on the brand to build Zivame as a global lingerie destination. Before that, he worked as a Sr UX Designer at Kaseya, where he drove the UX strategy of the organization in collaboration with stakeholders and designed for the corporate website, web-apps, products, e-commerce portal, microsites, and marketing collateral. Udit holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Thapar University, where he graduated in 2007.
