Ujjwal Grover is a seasoned engineer with over 15 years of experience in building technology products used by millions of users across the world. He specializes in building lean engineering teams around a culture of self-management and productivity. Currently, Ujjwal is the Co-founder of Harmonize, an HR system that works on top of your internal chat system like Teams or Slack. Ujjwal is a specialist in Ruby, Rails, Python, backend systems, distributed systems, relational databases, MongoDB, Redis, and AWS. He has worked with several companies in the past, including PepperTap, where he served as the Director of Engineering. At PepperTap, Ujjwal led all engineering efforts, including hiring and mentoring the engineering talent, architecting the end-user apps and internal backend systems, interfacing with product management to oversee delivery, and planning legendary launch parties. Ujjwal also worked as a Senior Developer Technology at hoppr (a hike messenger company), where he led backend efforts that included development and maintenance of the cloud infrastructure that power the web loyalty portal, the SMS and USSD service, the android app API's, and the mobile web. He along with 6 sharp engineers used technologies like Node.js, MongoDB, Redis, Ruby, to keep the 500+ merchants working with them engaged with their patrons. Ujjwal holds a BTech in ICT from da-iict and completed his schooling from Christ Church Boys Senior Secondary School.
