Ujjwal Lanjewar is a highly experienced technology leader and mentor with over 23 years of expertise in various domains, products, and platforms. He has extensive knowledge in storage, cloud, distributed file systems, data management, platform management, and software architecture. In his current role as Principal Engineer at Seagate, Ujjwal is responsible for the architecture of Seagate CORTX Object Storage, S3 and NFS over Distributed Object Storage, and Cloud Storage IO and Control Path Software Stack. He also oversees RAS Functions for Storage Systems and Cloud Storage Platform - Ceph. Ujjwal has a proven track record of delivering successful solutions and has contributed to the development of Kubernetes and Cloud Native Deployment. Prior to his current role, Ujjwal served as Senior Staff Engineer at Seagate, where he worked on Seagate ClusterStore Storage Systems, Server Data Migration for rebalancing in Lustre File System, and created Parallel Data Mover for HPC Storage Systems (Lustre FS and IBM Spectrum Scale/GPFS) HSM. He also worked as Principal Software Architect at Sureline Systems, where he developed Data Migration Frameworks for Google Transfer Appliance, NFS Server for exporting and ingesting Data into the appliance, HDFS Distributed Data Mover, S3 Object Data Ingestion Infrastructure, and Encryption platform for secured data at rest. Ujjwal has a Master's degree in System Software from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Sati, Vidisha. He has a strong technical background and is proficient in Linux, Windows, C, C++, Python, Shell, Google Tools (Bazel/GTest/GMock/etc), and Messaging (RabbitMQ). Ujjwal is a Senior Software Engineer with experience in Swift, Kubernetes, HDFS, RabbitMQ, and infra.
