Umang Gupta is a Lead Software Engineer at Cadence Design Systems with over 10 years of relevant experience in the field. He has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology. Umang has worked on various projects at Microsoft, including an Artificial Intelligence EQ chat-bot called Ruuh, which was launched on Facebook messenger. He also designed and implemented various features/skills for the chat bot, such as interacting about a Bollywood movie, guessing a movie from emoticons, blocking and responding to sensitive/adult data, and giving an empathetic response to users. Additionally, Umang trained a deep neural network using sentiment and semantics features to detect emotions in textual conversations. At Microsoft IT, Umang developed a Universal Windows Platform App for providing standardized and personalized insights of the sales a seller does. He also owned and automated testing using the "Coded-UI framework" with a success rate of 95%. Umang developed a Windows 8 APP called "Sports Field Booking" for booking sports fields at Microsoft's Hyderabad campus. He also built a "Caching Framework" in Asp.Net using C# to consume Azure and Object caching, which eventually got leveraged at the org level and saved time involved in the manual process of implementing caching for every project. At Cadence Design Systems, Umang is implementing and enhancing features in Cadence Quantus Extraction Solution, which is the industry's most trusted signoff parasitic extraction tool. Umang's tech stack includes Software Engineering, Senior Software Engineering, UI, Test, Web, AI, Neural Networks, dotNET, ASP.NET, Azure, and Integration. Umang has received several IT Excellence Awards, including Customer Obsessed as part of Quota Team and Connect the Company as part of WWLM-MSX project.
