Umar Shamsi is a final year undergraduate student studying Electrical Engineering at IIT Patna. He has a keen interest in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, specifically in Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision. With several completed projects in these fields, Umar has proven himself to be a skilled and knowledgeable individual in the world of AI. Umar is passionate about problem-solving and enjoys working with Algorithms and Data Structures. He regularly participates in online coding contests on different platforms like Codeforces and Codechef, where he has achieved an Expert rating. Currently, Umar is working as a Software Engineer at Atlassian, where he is a Technical Lead for Machine Learning projects and initiatives at Developer Students Club IIT Patna. Prior to this, he worked as an Applied AI Research Intern at Accenture. Umar's educational background includes a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from IIT Patna, which he is set to complete in December 2022. He also completed his High School education at St. Theresa Sr. Sec. School, where he achieved an impressive 95.8% in 12th grade. Umar's tech stack includes Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Senior Software Engineering, and Research Science.
