Umer Adnan is a seasoned technology leader with over 15 years of experience in product design, engineering, strategy, sales, risk mitigation, and venture capital. He is the Founder and CEO of Cowlar, a world-class multidisciplinary design shop that combines engineering, strategy, tech, and support to create impact for partners, clients, and customers across the globe. Umer has a proven track record of delivering complex technology solutions across a myriad of domains, including enterprise software, embedded systems, robotics, industrial IoT, mechanical design, fabrication, and simulation, machine learning, and AI. He is a Fulbright and Y Combinator alum, and his expertise lies in startups, product development, and venture capital. As the President and CEO of Cowlar, Umer has created a flagship product that helps dairy farmers optimize operations, improve herd health, and boost milk yield. Cowlar is the Fitbit for cows that provides actionable recommendations on how to maximize milk yields, boost reproduction rates, identify diseases instantly, and track geo-location. Additionally, Cowlar is currently involved in animal health/pharma R&D activities. In 2020, Umer launched another business unit called Cowlar Design Studio (CDS), which provides startups and SMBs with full-stack design engineering services. The focus areas include IoT, industrial automation, enterprise software development, OpSec/Cyber Security, robotics, machine learning, computer vision, high-performance computing, and end-to-end multidisciplinary engineering. Umer's past experience includes co-founding and serving as CEO of e4 Technologies, an end-to-end product development and design studio, and serving as Co-President of the ASU Energy Club at Arizona State University. He holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University and a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the National University of Science and Technology.
