Umer Mansoor is a seasoned software engineer with over 11 years of relevant experience in the field. He is a full-stack developer with a strong understanding of enterprise processes and a passion for startups. Currently, Umer holds the position of Senior Engineering Manager, Traffic and Growth at Glassdoor, where he oversees all user-acquisition related activities. He is responsible for the overall site SEO, login and registration, as well as several growth-related activities including user growth, job alerts growth, and UGC growth. Prior to his current role, Umer served as the Senior Engineering Manager, Traffic at Glassdoor, where he was responsible for helping millions of new users discover Glassdoor through Google and other mediums. He managed a team of backend, frontend, and QA engineers and released two new products: Company Compare and Company Explorer. He worked closely with Product Managers, embedded designers, data scientists, marketing, and other teams. Umer also identified and implemented CDN caching for Glassdoor's Best Places to Work Award 2019, which significantly reduced the downtime risk and required fewer infrastructure resources. Before joining Glassdoor, Umer worked as the Senior Engineering Manager, Revenue Technologies at Glu Mobile, where he managed engineering teams responsible for the design, development, on-going operation, and monitoring of Glu's Central Services and Revenue platform. He was also the product/engineering owner of Glu's Experimentation & Personalization product and handled GDPR rollout, consent collection & data privacy. Umer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering from the University of Calgary, where he graduated in 2011.
