Umesh Gupta is an experienced Android specialist with over 8 years of experience in mix android and backend (JAVA, KOTLIN). He is skilled in scaling, battery, memory, notification, and performance optimization. He has expertise in various Android libraries such as Retrofit, Glide, Picasso, Event Bus, GreenDAO, object box, ROOM, Android Architecture Component, Dagger, and other 3rd parties. He is also proficient in memory and battery optimization, doze mode expert, firebase integrations, MVP pattern, MVVM pattern, Kotlin, KMP (Kotlin multi-platform), RIBS pattern, databinding, RxJava, complex UI, socket, Android JetPack, and more. At Porter, he handled Driver and Vehicle owners app with a team of developers and migrated it to KMP with RIBS as an architecture from MVP and React-native respectively. At Novopay, he lead and mentored a team of 10 android developers with maintaining and increasing the code quality by continuously reviewing the code. He handled IDFC Bank’s microfinance application, which is dispersing loans of INR 40 crores daily. Umesh has also built UI rendering engine/low code framework and implemented API calls caching mechanism, which helped in the reduction of the calls significantly by 90% at the client by making it more robust with an increase in performance.
