Umesh Majhi is a results-driven product leader with over 10 years of end-to-end product management experience in B2C and B2B products spanning diverse industries. He has worked in various early-stage to well-funded startups, building and scaling technology-driven mobile, tablet, and web-based products and solutions from scratch through ideation, market study, and product-market fit. Currently, he is a Product Manager at Google, where he leads product teams to create products with high impact. Umesh has built new products from scratch through ideation, conceptualization, vision, strategy, roadmap, planning, development, launch, and scale. He has handled new business initiatives in line with long-term organization goals in multiple companies. He is an expert in planning and executing successful mobile and internet-based products aimed at solving problems through technology. He has also headed the Analytics division to facilitate better data-driven decisions and worked on projects involving emerging technologies like Machine Learning and IoT. Umesh has built, led, managed, and mentored high-performing teams under him. He has worked on various mobile payments, mobile commerce, and mobile marketing projects, including mobile ad campaigns. He holds a PGDM in Systems and Strategy from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, an MBA in Strategy from the Université Jean Moulin (Lyon III), and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Calicut. He also has technical training in Electronics from IIT Madras and completed his high school from DAV Sijua, Dhanbad.
