Umesh Rawat is an experienced software engineer with nearly 20 years of relevant experience in the field. He is proficient in architecting services, designing business workflows, and writing front-end and back-end code. He is equally adept at programming, creating web services designs and architecture, as well as liaising with product and technical support teams for the launch of any business idea to a production service/product. Umesh has a TDD approach to build microservices against time-bound business requirements using agile dev cycles. He has extensive experience in building low latency, high throughput web services stack using Reactive/Non-reactive architecture. He has close collaboration with all stakeholders from requirements gathering through production support. Umesh has worked with a variety of technologies and tools, including Java 8/11+, Spring Boot/Vert.x/Dropwizard Reactive/Non-reactive stack, Elastic search, Oracle 11, Apache Kafka, MongoDB, AWS, Node.js, Mocha, React, Typescript, Mobx, and Jest. Currently, Umesh works as a Senior Engineer at Silicon Valley Bank, where he has built and delivered the strategic APIs for OFX and Plaid connections. He is responsible for designing and developing the online banking system spanning from UI with React/TypeScript to Java Spring/Elastic Search at the backend. Before joining Silicon Valley Bank, Umesh worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Goldman Sachs, where he worked on two projects: Marcus UK Deposits microservices and engineered streaming services for Transaction Banking on AWS. He also worked as an Assistant Vice President at Barclays, where he built key modules/services for Treasury's onboarding on existing Rates stack. Umesh holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
