Unnati Chhabra is a final year student at IGDTUW and a DevRel Engineer at AssetMantle. She is a past MLH Fellow and an open-source contributor with contributions to almost forty-five repositories, including Layer5, open-horizon, and Public Lab. Unnati has faced many challenges while building community and stepping into tech, including having no mentor to guide her and facing issues in the way of learning as a physically challenged contributor. However, she has overcome these challenges and gained better leadership qualities, teaching qualities, quick decision-making power, and positivity in every situation. Unnati is the founder of CodXCrypt, an open-source community that guides people regarding open source and project ideas. She started this community in her sophomore year with the aim of giving back to the community as there was no guidance regarding open source and development in her college. CodXCrypt hosts workshops, mentorship sessions, and hackathons to give students real-world experience. Unnati is passionate about teaching every student and making them aware of open-source. Unnati has worked as a Developer Relations Engineer at Zenduty and Keploy in the past. She is an OSD'21 Mentor at AnitaBOrg and has mentored in the Eclipse Adoptium project, impacting 5,000 girls and non-binary. Unnati has also been invited as a mentor and speaker at various communities like GDSC, Commudle, and MyCaptain, impacting around 500 students there. Unnati has a Bachelor of Technology - BTech in Information Technology from Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, which she will complete in 2023.
