Utkarsh Chauhan is a highly motivated and curious Software Engineer with a strong background in SRE. Currently working at Flipkart, he has previously worked with JPMorgan Chase & Co. and gained valuable experience in Core Data Team under Asset and Wealth Management. At Flipkart, Utkarsh was a part of the Shopsy team where he successfully migrated the entire commission rule engine to a drools-based rule engine. He was responsible for setting up a new Drools based rule engine, building a track for the addition of new rules, devising an algorithm for the calculation of priority of rules, and integrating the rule engine with the Shopsy app and its services. As a result of his efforts, the RPS increased by ~40%, CPU utilization decreased by ~40%, and latency reduced by ~30%. Utkarsh has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Thapar University, where he was an active member of the Creative Computing Society. As the General Secretary of the oldest technical club of his University, he led a tech team of 200 students and organized various inter-college/intra-college technical events and hackathons. He also organized technical workshops and mentoring sessions. With relevant experience of 0.94 years, Utkarsh has a strong technical skill set and is proficient in Software Engineering and SRE. He is a quick learner and is always eager to explore new technologies. Utkarsh is a great team player and has excellent communication skills.
