Utkarsh Gupta is an experienced software developer with a strong academic background in Computer Science and Electronics. He has worked in various areas such as industry, academia, open source, and campus groups. Currently, he is working as a Backend Engineer at Stripe, where he is expanding the reach of payments to every country in the EMEA. Prior to this, he worked for more than three years at Harness as an integral member of the Platform Engineering team developing the core platform which serves the entire suite of software delivery products of Harness. During his college years, Utkarsh was a regular contributor to open source, mainly through the contributions in CloudCV as one of the regular maintainers of multiple projects and consistent participants of Google open source programs. He also led the Software Development Section (SDS) of IIT Roorkee, a team of 50 members working in the fields of Machine Learning, Software Development, Algorithms, and Information Security. Utkarsh has also done research in the field of intelligent documents in general and Visual Question Answering in particular at the internship at Big Data Experience Lab, Adobe Research. He has a diverse set of skills and experience in areas such as Software Engineering, Backend Development, Research Science, Big Data, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and NLP. Utkarsh holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Electronics and Communication Engineering with Minors in Computer Science Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. He also attended Hillwoods Academy for his primary and secondary education. With over 4.20 years of relevant experience, Utkarsh is a highly skilled and motivated software engineer with a passion for innovation and a drive to succeed.
