Utkarsh Kolhe is a highly motivated Graduate Research Assistant at the University of California, Davis, with a passion for data science and software engineering. With a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of California, Davis, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Utkarsh has a strong academic background in computer science. Utkarsh has 1.43 years of relevant experience in software engineering and research. He has worked as a Software Engineer at eq technologic, where he developed web UI for new features for data handling in eQubeBI, a software used to visualize and find insights from huge amounts of data. He also worked as a Technical Lead at Medialytics, where he developed two android games in Unity based on reinforced learning: MathGuru and MathSafari. Utkarsh showed strong leadership skills by leading a small team of 10 people through product development and managing and distributing work. Currently, Utkarsh is working on the I2E2 research project in Data Science and Software Engineering at the University of California, Davis. He is working on big data visualization in python, generating dynamic plots, and finding trends in data. He has also developed a website in Flask with login, data upload, and dynamic visualization tools. Utkarsh has designed and optimized different multi-field fuzzy matching algorithms with over 90% accuracies, with 30% improvement over traditional methods. He has also handled database handling and merging on AWS using novel algorithms and models. Utkarsh's tech stack includes Research Scientist, Software Engineer, AWS, Big Data, Data Scientist, Flask, Python, ML, UI, Frontend, Web, Senior Software Engineer, and Java.
