Utkarsh Mishra is a Chemical Engineering professional with almost a decade of experience in Operations, Process Design, and Technical Services in the "Crude oil to Chemical" value chain. He is currently working as a Sr. Manager (Technologist) for the LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene) Polymer Technology at Reliance Industries Limited. Utkarsh is passionate about the latest developments in cutting-edge technologies serving the refining/petrochemical sector and providing simplified solutions for a sustainable world. He is well-versed in Ethylene Unit (i.e., Naptha/Gas Cracker), Hydroprocessing Unit (i.e., Hydrotreating and Hydrocracking), LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene) technology, and has an overview of Aromatics Complex. Utkarsh has hands-on experience on several tools like Ethylene unit furnace kinetic modeling software SPYRO and COILSIM1D, Steady State PETROSIM simulation, Steady state Honeywell Unisim simulation, Steady state Aspen Hysys simulation, Steady state Aspen Plus simulation, Hydraulics evaluation of distillation column trays using UOP Tray tool, KG tower, and Sulcol tool, and HTRI. He has also developed an Excel-based statistical model for process predictions. In his current role, Utkarsh is responsible for releasing daily and monthly performance reports highlighting quality, energy efficiency, cat chem consumption, and overall economics as compared to KPI targets. He has also developed and deployed an LDPE reactor kinetic model to estimate polymer properties and conducted performance reports of key equipment. Utkarsh has successfully implemented a Six Sigma project on "Intercooler fouling minimization & enhancing run length" and worked out profit improvement ideas via MOC-T (Management of change-Technology). He has also mentored and coached young engineers and shared knowledge with them. Prior to his current role, Utkarsh worked as a Sr. Manager (Technologist) for the Refinery Off Gas Cracker (ROGC) Complex at Reliance Industries Limited. He has also worked as a Design Engineer-II at Honeywell, where he was involved in the preparation of basic engineering packages for refinery and petrochemical units. Utkarsh holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Chemical Engineering from Gujarat Technological University and L.D College of Engineering, Ahmedabad, and completed his 10th and 12th from Vidyut Board Vidyalaya
