Utkarsh Srivastava is an ASIC Development Engineer at Western Digital with a passion for technology and a keen interest in electronics, hardware, embedded systems, data storage/infrastructure, and robotics. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee. In his current role, Utkarsh works in the Physical Design (PHY) team and is responsible for developing ASICs. He has an extensive background in high-power, high-frequency power electronics circuits and their operation. He has also gained hands-on experience in embedded register level coding for microcontrollers and has some experience with Matlab and Simulink modelling. Prior to joining Western Digital, Utkarsh completed an internship at Cotzero Energy, where he designed and implemented two innovative powertrain topologies for electric vehicle applications. He gained deep insights into various high-power, high-frequency power electronics circuits and their operation. He also did extensive embedded register level coding for microcontrollers. In addition to his work experience, Utkarsh is also the BMS and Data Acquisition Head of IIT Roorkee Motorsports, the official Formula Student team of IIT Roorkee. He supervises the development and testing of the Battery Management System and Data Acquisition System used in their Formula Electric Car, ensuring their proper implementation and also changes to be implemented in the future. Utkarsh's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Roorkee, where he graduated in 2019. Prior to that, he completed his Intermediate studies from Heliger Borden Education Centre in Kanpur and his High School studies from Children College Azamgarh. Utkarsh's technical skills include infra and test, and he has 4.53 years of relevant experience. He is a tech enthusiast who is always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow in the field of electronics and related areas.
