Utkarsh Tripathi is a highly experienced Head of Technology at Aakash Byju’s Technology Innovation Lab with over 12 years of relevant experience in the field. He is a passionate product and service developer who has extensive experience in creating highly scalable applications from scratch. Currently, Utkarsh is leading a team of 80+ engineers (backend, frontend, machine learning, data, QA engineers) in building products for parents, students, operations, marketing and growth, and faculty. He has built a content management system with over 9L+ questions, video, and audio content, an enterprise resource planning solution for 400+ centers, pipelines assimilating data of various products, and created meaningful insights through them. Additionally, he has built ML products for adaptive learning and reducing churn out of students, a highly scalable test platform enabling students to give online tests and get scholarships, and growth and blog websites to help students with their prep and generate new leads. In the past, Utkarsh has worked as the Head of Technology at Aakash, where he built the next-generation hybrid education model. He has also worked as the Director of Engineering at ZEE5, the fourth-largest OTT platform in India with a global audience of 1.3 billion. At ZEE5, he took care of news and subscription/payment pods, managed a team of 40+ engineers, and was responsible for the platform's presence across the globe with different payment modes B2C and B2B. Utkarsh has a B-Tech in Material Science from IIT Roorkee and completed his 12th from RLBSS, Lucknow, with a focus on PCMB. He is skilled in ML, test, QA, frontend, backend, and is a Senior Software Engineer. Through various initiatives like campus hiring, he has transformed a team of vendor resources into an in-house team of highly skilled engineers.
