Utpal Kumar is a seasoned software engineer with 7.87 years of experience in the Financial Crime and Compliance Management (FCCM) domain. He has worked extensively with major banks in Korea, South East Asia, and India, implementing OFSAA Fccm (Mantas) products 8.0.x end to end. These products include AML/Transaction Monitoring, Case Management (ECM), KYC, Customer Screening, Enterprise Data Quality (EDQ), and Compliance Regulatory Reporting. Utpal has extensive knowledge of the FCCM risk model and is experienced in developing business rules logic using IPE (Inline Processing Engine) in Case Management and KYC, pertaining to the requirements of stakeholders, regulators, and business users. He has also worked on data mapping, scenarios configuration, and threshold tuning for Mantas AML based on data analysis and testing. In addition, Utpal has worked extensively on data mining and data validation for Case Management (ECM), including test data preparation, alerts (risk events) and cases validation, and recon reports generation between source and target data. He has also worked on creating workflows for different countries using PMF (Process Modelling Framework) functionality and on EDQ rules for customer screening and name matching. Utpal has a strong track record of delivering solutions to clients, including building technical specification documents (TSD) and functional specification documents (FSD) and explaining relevant functionality to the bank. He has also worked on real-time screening for KYC and name screening for new customer onboard and determined the risk associated. Currently, Utpal is working as a Software Engineer at Silicon Valley Bank. Prior to this, he worked as a Principal Consultant and Senior Consultant at Oracle, where he implemented AML and ECM solutions, executed BDF and AML scenarios for different sets of countries, and worked on code deployment, data migration, and unit testing. Utpal holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Agartala and completed his schooling from Assisi Convent School, Noida. He is proficient in software engineering and testing and has a strong understanding of the FCCM domain.
